The people you and I live with in Caversham.
As they say, variety is the spice of life. But is too easy to not notice what’s around you – and that includes people.
The photos in this ‘Caversham People’ gallery were taken in two batches of about ten minutes each, in one week in July 2022, as I sat in the main precinct in Caversham.
Walking into the centre, I’d been struck by all the different people there were going by. And I thought that their clothing is one way to illustrate that variety.
Yes, you can probably recognize yourself in the photos, and maybe someone you know – by something distinctive about how they are dressed. But my intention is not to photograph anyone as an individual. I certainly don’t want to suggest any preference or opinion about how anyone looks. All these photos are, are reminders of how much variety there is all around us. Notice it and enjoy it for what it is. It makes life richer.
