Cacophony
I am a light sleeper. Dawn, at this time of year, means ‘The Dawn Chorus’ – which to me and many others can often equate to racket loud enough and repetitive enough to wake anyone and then keep them awake. Add in unseasonably mild weather and thus open windows – and yes, you’re properly doomed.
I am very aware that my view isn’t shared by everyone … and I was going to write a more even-handed (!) entry about the subject. But then I came across this item, below, by the RSPB and found there’s not a lot I could add of any value.
If you love the dawn chorus, the RSPB is the site for you. But if you hate trying to sleep with an avian cacophony doing its best to defeat you, at least know you’re not alone!
